About our Coffs Harbour campus

Coffs Harbour TAFE Campus offers a welcoming place to express yourself and find the perfect path for your career. Our campus is designed to make your studies easier and enjoyable, with student support services and a popular lounge and reflection area.

We have an innovatively designed trade centre including an indoor carpentry and joinery centre, where students gain practical skills in carpentry, bricklaying, concreting, plumbing and tiling. The campus also offers a range of creative industry courses, and is one of two campuses to offer a fashion design course on the North Coast.

Coffs Harbour is a flourishing subtropical city providing an ideal place to live and study. Our campus is an oasis of tranquillity and natural beauty located near the town centre, set between the forested hills and the sea in the Gumbaynggirr Aboriginal nation.

Powering up the brain: why sleep, a healthy diet and exercise can boost the memory

If you’ve ever worked a night shift, been up all night with a newborn or partied until sunrise you’ll know how sleep deprivation can render you a zombie. Come daylight, it can be a struggle to remember even the simplest things like where you parked your car, your mother’s birth date or your pin number.

Fans of the hilarious British sitcom The IT Crowd will recall laid-back Irish techie Roy singing in the office, “We don’t need no education”, only to have his musical musings stopped in their tracks by co-worker Moss. “Yes you do. You’ve just used a double negative.”
