About our Grafton campus

Grafton TAFE Campus is an important part of the Clarence Valley community, offering students an ideal place to study and live.

Our campus features purpose built trades facilities including a painting and decorating showcase, a large automotive garage, specially fitted electrotechnology rooms, and multiple welding and metal work bays with a strong focus on safety. We also have an advanced music and screen facility, child studies and childcare centre, a restaurant-sized kitchen and on-campus restaurant, multiple IT labs, and a separate hair and beauty salon open to the public.

The township of Grafton sits on the banks of the beautiful Clarence River in the Bundjalung Aboriginal nation, and is known for its jacaranda trees, water sports and friendly country feel.

  • World class training through industry partnerships at North Coast TAFE! Over our 120 year plus history, TAFE NSW has consistently built lasting relationships with the biggest and most respected names in industry for the benifit of our students and their future employers. Over the last 2 days our Grafton Campus Painting and Decorating class were once again privileged to host Mike Regan from the Dulux Australia ActraTex division. Mike supplied the materials and ran our students through all aspects of texture finishing including brush, roller, spray and applying texture by trowel, covering initial surface preparation through to job completion. Given the fast evolving nature of the construction industry and the materials used within it, it is important that our students keep up to date with the latest techniques, products and technologies. A massive thank you to Mike and Dulux for continuing this fantastic initiative and helping us foster and teach the painters of tomorrow. "It’s a great opportunity for the next generation of painters and decorators to test new products and better understand some of the options available to them out in the market" said TAFE NSW Painting and Decorating teacher Steve Griffin. "We greatly appreciate the time taken by Dulux in presenting their knowledge over 2 full days and know that our student have taken a lot of industry relevant information and skills away from it" Putting on an apprentice? Talk to TAFE about how we can exceed your training expectations. Visit www.northcoasttafe.edu.au or call us on 1300 628 233.
