About our Macksville campus

Macksville TAFE Campus has a relaxed, friendly and social atmosphere. Wi Fi access makes our Tuscan gardens a popular place to study, while a wood fired pizza oven, café and music playing through the grounds during class breaks adds to the casual vibe.

We specialise in providing vocationally oriented entry-level education and training across the study areas of business, community services and information technology. The campus also features a sustainable herb and vegetable garden for students and the community to enjoy.

Macksville lies on the banks of the Nambucca River on the homelands of the Gumbaynggirr Aboriginal people, surrounded by fertile lands producing bananas, crops, beef and dairy products.

If you’re looking to enter the workforce armed with invaluable experience and practical skills, check out the courses available at our Macksville TAFE Campus.

Student life

    • Pics from the Creative Creatures exhibition held at Macksville Campus on 16 Nov 2015. These glorious designs were created by the Certificate II (focusing on Creative Design) girls and were a real hit! The students created stuffed owl pillows, makeup bags/pencil cases, cross-body bags, dream catchers and stencilled, screen printed, tie-died and slashed design t-shirts, with the support of teachers Cindy Beveridge and Deb Hatley. #nctafe #expressyourself #macksville #nambuccavalley

  • The Scotts Head Public School in conjunction with the Scotts Head Community Group is the proud recipient of a $10 000 grant for the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal ANZ Program, TAFE Trading Skills for Life - ‘Constructing the Gumbaynggirr Cultural and Leisure Track’. The Certificate II Construction team has completed work on the bush track as well as the yarning circle, so this grant helps them continue building works in 2016. Their efforts are part of a larger community project for a cultural trail streching from the headland to the National Park. A win for the TAFE team, the Scotts Head Public School, Scotts Head Community Group, Scotts Head community and whole Nambucca Valley! #nctafe #expressyourself #scottshead #nambuccavalley

  • If you're heading down to the Nambucca River Festival this weekend (at Macksville on the river!) here's a little something to help you on your way- a program and map. Be sure to drop on by the TAFE stall and say hello- we'll be helping paint the puppets for the dusk drumming parade with local organisation Ability Links. #nctafe #expressyourself #macksville #nambuccavalley

  • Pics from the Nambucca River Festival 2015 held in Macksville on the banks of the Nambucca River. We partnered with Ability Links for the day and the TAFE Community Services students helped them create puppets in a public workshop for the dusk drumming parade-so much fun. Also entered the TAFE Terror in the infamous raft race (only 4th place this year so a new strategy already in place for next year....) and chatted to a lot of people about TAFE courses. What a great day so a huge thankyou to everyone who came along, got involved and helped out. #nctafe #macksville #nambuccavalley

    • Nice to see the Macksville TAFE Construction team on the front page of this weeks Mid Coast Observer. They have been doing building work at Scotts Head Public School all year creating learning spaces and have just received a $10 000 ANZ Seeds of Renewal grant to continue in 2016. Congratulations to all! #nctafe #thankyourself #scottshead #macksville #nambuccavalley
