About TAFE NSW Macksville

TAFE NSW Macksville has a relaxed, friendly and social atmosphere. Wi Fi access makes our Tuscan gardens a popular place to study, while a wood fired pizza oven, café and music playing through the grounds during class breaks adds to the casual vibe.

We specialise in providing vocationally oriented entry-level education and training across the study areas of business, community services and information technology. The campus also features a sustainable herb and vegetable garden for students and the community to enjoy.

Macksville lies on the banks of the Nambucca River on the homelands of the Gumbaynggirr Aboriginal people, surrounded by fertile lands producing bananas, crops, beef and dairy products.

If you’re looking to enter the workforce armed with invaluable experience and practical skills, check out the courses available at TAFE NSW Macksville.

  • Congratulations to Nathan Parkins who has completed his Certificate IV in Accounting and accepted a full time job with a local accounting firm! In 2016, Nathan commenced a Work For The Dole initiative at Macksville TAFE in a Student Mentoring position 2 days per week. Nathan's ability to help was recognised by both staff and students who appreciated his skills and he volunteered more of his time with TAFE. Nathan then obtained paid work in the local community. Nathan decided to return to Macksville TAFE full time to further his career and gain qualifications in Accounting. A local accounting firm approached Macksville TAFE looking for qualified students as they recognise the high calibre of students that graduate from Macksville TAFE. Here is Nathan with his teacher Anita Wood and Head Teacher Jillian Ashley. Well done Nathan!
