Are you starting your career in the area of auto air conditioning, or would you like to add it to your expertise? Our Certificate II Automotive Air Conditioning qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a range of tasks related to servicing and repairing air conditioning components and systems of cars and heavy vehicles within an automotive service and repair business.Work PlacementAssessment and completion of the course requires access to a fully equipped workplace, under supervision. All our NC TAFE Automotive courses are classroom and blended delivery modes, including discussions, working in groups, and work log books. Students work with real automotive vehicles and equipment in simulated environments on campus.
As automotive is a very technical and sophisticated industry, students need a high level of literacy and numeracy, including computer skills, to successfully undertake this qualification.Literacy and NumeracyNorth Coast TAFE wants you to know that while this qualification has no formal entry requirements, we do want you to succeed, so we are providing information about the skills and knowledge that would help you complete this qualification. You do need to have, or be able to attain, a level of literacy and numeracy that will help you complete your course and ultimately to work in your chosen field.Students who complete this qualification level will gain the skills necessary to undertake routine activities and provide solutions to a limited range of predictable problems. Automotive air conditioning specialist
A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.
