This qualification has become superseded across Australia and an updated version of this qualification will soon be available. This means that North Coast TAFE may continue to deliver the old qualification for 12 months from the date of change. Students enrolling during this time must complete the qualification by the transition date or transition to a new qualification when it becomes available. Are you really interested in how engines work and have some experience or are familiar with motors? Are you looking for a career path into the auto industry?  Our Certificate II Automotive Servicing Technology qualification is where you start your automotive career. This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a range of servicing operations on light vehicles, heavy vehicles and/or motorcycles within an automotive service or repair business.

Work Placement
This is a prevocational course that requires work placement. Assessment and completion of the course requires access to a fully equipped workplace, under supervision.  All our NC TAFE Automotive courses are classroom and blended delivery modes, including discussions, working in groups, and work log books.  Students work with real automotive vehicles and equipment in simulated environments on campus.

This qualification is suitable for an Australian traineeship pathway, including a school based traineeship.
