If you are signed up as an automotive trainee, the Certificate II in Automotive Underbody Technology provides you with the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge within the automotive underbody scope. The course provides a pathway for employment within the automotive industry as a light vehicle mechanic.The course is delivered both on-campus and in the workplace by experienced, qualified facilitators and is a direct pathway to a Certificate III qualification, which leads to licensing under the Department of Fair Trading.Applicants must be at least 14 years and nine months old to meet requirements.
No pre-requisites are required for this qualification however the person has to be employed as a trainee in an outdoor power equipment related industry e.g. mower shop or golf course, local council maintenance workshop.
Management roles, business or dealership ownership.
This course can lead to employment in the Outdoor Power Equipment industry, Local Council machinery maintenance, Golf courses machinery maintenance.
A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.
