If you have an interest in makeup, personal grooming and beauty and enjoy interacting with people, then this could be the course for you.

If you wish to work in a retail environment providing advice to customers through the demonstration of makeup and skin care products, then our certificate II in Retail Cosmetics can set you on your ideal career path.

You will learn how to apply make-up for a range of purposes and in a range of situations, including; for day or bridal wear, for remedial camouflage or for photographic work.
You will also learn about the fundamentals of retail operations as they apply to selling skin care products and cosmetics. You will also learn how to demonstrate the use of a range of retail cosmetic products.

Retail cosmetic assistants are specially trained sales assistants who promote one or more brands of cosmetic products in department stores, specialty stores or pharmacies. They help people to make decisions by providing advice on the purchase and application of cosmetics.

Work Placement
All students will have the opportunity to work on real clients in our well equipped simulated salons, but work placement is highly recommended.

This qualification is suitable for an Australian traineeship pathway.
