This qualification is intended for production workers who operate equipment and undertake complex operational tasks directly related to the manufacture of textile, clothing and footwear (TCF) products. It provides the skills and knowledge required to work under supervision within a production environment. The worker should demonstrate initiative, judgement and discretion in their own work and would apply a breadth and depth of knowledge to a defined range of situations and then would be expected to apply this knowledge to solve a defined range of problems by applying known solutions to a limited range of predictable problems. It provides the skills and knowledge required to work under supervision within a production environment. The following occupations relate to this qualification: Assistant Sail Maker Clicking Machine Operator Clothing Dispatcher Clothing Presser Clothing Production Operator Clothing Production Operator (Multiple Processes) Fashion Design Assistant Footwear Finisher Footwear Machinist Footwear Production Operator Footwear Tableworker Indigenous Design Textile Printer Loom Fixer Non-woven Production Operator Sewing Machinist Textiles Fabrication Operator Textiles Production Operator Wool Processor Operator Elective units of competency should be chosen to meet the specialist skill needs of the area of application. There are no specific licences that relate to this qualification.
