Do you have a creative flair and an interest in working in the textiles industry? Our Certificate II in Textile Fabrication has been developed for trainees wishing to begin their studies, while gaining practical experience.Our staff regularly consult with industry, bring professional knowledge and skills and their own industry experience to tailor each trainee's individual learning plan to meet the needs of the workplace. In addition, our staff work closely with workplace supervisors to create a smooth and efficient learning experience for trainees. Participants throughout the course of their studies have the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in the operations of textile fabrication enterprises in a fully supported workplace environment. Successful graduates will be able to perform a limited range of technical and operational tasks within a production environment and be eligible to enrol in the Certificate III Textile Fabrication or other relevant manufacturing qualifications.Regular communication with all parties ensures trainees and workplace supervisors are fully informed of the training and workplace assessment in progress throughout the traineeship.

You do need to have, or be able to attain, a level of literacy and numeracy that will help you complete your course and ultimately to work in your chosen field.Students who complete this qualification level will gain the skills necessary to undertake routine activities and provide solutions to a limited range of predictable problems. A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.

Note: Some short, licensing or compliance courses, eg Food Safety for Supervisors or First Aid are not granted RPL as demonstrated competency is required by regulatory authorities.
