If you dream of building a career in office administration, with a view to providing support to a team, then the Certificate III in Business Administration is for you.
This qualification will provide you with a range of skills required for employment in general business operations. In addition to the core units of workplace health & safety and keyboarding, you can chose electives from a wide range of areas including bookkeeping, payroll, databases, desktop publishing and electronic presentations. The learning will be practical and hands-on, giving you useful workplace skills.
Study can be full time or part time (day or evening). Some units can be studied online or via flexible delivery.
Hit the ground running in a business environment with a broad range of skills or formalise skills you are already using in the workplace. Possible job outcomes for graduates include accounts receivable clerk, accounts payable clerk, clerk, data entry operator, junior personal assistant, receptionist, office administration assistant, office administrator or word processing operator.
North Coast TAFE wants you to know that while this qualification has no formal entry requirements, we do want you to succeed, so we are providing information about the skills and knowledge that would help you complete this qualification. You do need to have, or be able to attain, a level of literacy and numeracy that will help you complete your course and ultimately to work in your chosen field. Students who complete this qualification level will have developed a range of technical and communication skills that will enable them to complete mostly routine tasks and interpret and act on information available to them. They will provide solutions to predictable and sometimes unpredictable problems and in a work setting may take some responsibility for the work of others.North Coast TAFE can provide support for reading, writing, maths and English Language. After achieving this qualification candidates may undertake Certificate IV in Business Administration.
Accounts receivable clerk, Accounts payable clerk, Clerk, Data entry operator, Junior jersonal assistant, Receptionist, Office administration assistant, Office administrator, Word processing operator.
A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.
