If you love pets and are passionate about animal care, then the Certificate III in Companion Animals is the right course for you. This Certificate is ideal for anyone interested in pet store, kennel or cattery work.

In our course you will learn how to work effectively in the companion animal industry. Some of the skills you will develop include: providing hydro-bathing services, completing animal care hygiene routines, maintaining and monitoring animal health and wellbeing, carrying out simple breeding procedures and applying first aid.

Additionally, you will gain invaluable practical workplace experience with a required minimum of eight hours per week (paid or voluntary) in a suitable companion animal facility for the 12-month duration of the course.

This qualification is suitable for an Australian traineeship pathway.
