Are you looking to develop the skills to access and maintain employment, or to prepare for further education and training? The Certificate III in Employment and Training is designed for people who require well developed employability skills and knowledge to enhance current work skills, access work, undertake further vocational training, or community engagement. Upon successful completion of this course, you can enrol in other TAFE NSW vocational courses.Students may get some articulation into vocational courses depending on the elective units of competency successfully completed. Work experience electives may be offered, providing you with the opportunity to use your skills in a workplace environment.The AEET Framework courses are structured around the National Employability Skills and are supported by the AEET Framework Reaccreditation Project Reference Group representing key industry and community groups. This is a government subsidised course and there are no formal educational requirements for this course; however, literacy and numeracy skills will be assessed prior to entry to the course.

North Coast TAFE wants you to know that while this qualification has no formal entry requirements, we do want you to succeed, so we are providing information about the skills and knowledge that would help you complete this qualification. You do need to have, or be able to attain, a level of literacy and numeracy that will help you complete your course and ultimately to work in your chosen field. Students who complete this qualification level will have developed a range of technical and communication skills that will enable them to complete mostly routine tasks and interpret and act on information available to them. They will provide solutions to predictable and sometimes unpredictable problems and in a work setting may take some responsibility for the work of others.North Coast TAFE can provide support for reading, writing, maths and English Language. When you complete this qualification you will have the skills and knowledge to access further education in a range of vocational qualifications. You may get some articulation into vocational courses depending on the elective units of competency successfully completed.
A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.

Working with one of our RPL assessors we’ll review your life and work experiences as well as any previous study you may have done to confirm just what we can match up with your current course of study.
Note: Some short, licensing or compliance courses, eg Food Safety for Supervisors or First Aid are not granted RPL as demonstrated competency is required by regulatory authorities.
