Are you working in a florist shop and looking for a rewarding and creative career, working with beautiful foliage and the natural environment?  Our Certificate III Floristry (traineeship or apprenticeship) is for you.  This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to create the whole range of retail and corporate flower arrangements, constructing, drawing and design, and specialist items for weddings, sympathy and modern design. Building on your abilities to care for and maintain floristry tools, and the maintenance, care and handling of cut flowers, you will learn advanced botanical and technical recognition of plants and foliage. The course covers business skills, quoting, sampling and window displays.

This qualification is suitable for an Australian traineeship pathway.

Reduced and subsidised fees

You could be eligible for subsidised or reduced fees if this training is subsidised by the NSW Government but eligibility criteria apply. These subsidised and reduced fees, if available, will be displayed below as ‘Subsidised student fee’. For some subsidised courses the subsidy available to eligible students may be in form of a ‘Concession Fee’, ‘Exemption’, or ‘Fee-Free scholarship’ and be displayed accordingly.

    To complete your enrolment, you must provide your Centrelink Reference Number (CRN) so that your eligibility for a concession can be validated. In some circumstances, you may need to fill in the Concession Fee application or provide documentation to support your application. (Your documentation may be provided via the Centrelink Express Plus Mobile App.)

  • Subsidised Student Fee
    From $2,130 up to $2,550
    This training is subsidised by the NSW Government and eligibility criteria apply.
    The fee you pay will vary depending on your personal circumstances and eligibility for a subsidised place, a Fee-Free Scholarship, a concession or an exemption.
    There may be limited government-subsidised places available.
    If you do not gain a subsidised place, you may be able to enrol and pay the full fee.

  • Traineeship Student Fee
    $1,000
    This training is subsidised by the NSW Government. The fee that is displayed is the price for a trainee meeting eligibility criteria. You may also be eligible for a concession fee or exemption.

    In some cases there are limited government-subsidised places available. If you do not gain a subsidised place, you may be able to enrol and pay the non-subsidised fee.

  • Exemption
    $0
    An exemption is where no course fee is charged to the student. For exemptions, the government-subsidises the total cost of the course fee for the qualification. There may be other additional costs, such as textbooks that you need to pay.

    You may be eligible for an exemption from the course fee if you:
    • are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (through descent, self-identification or community identification).
    • meet the Smart and Skilled disability criteria, (proof of a disability support pension or documentary evidence from an appropriate medical professional is required).
    • are the recognised dependent of disability support pension recipient.

Full fee option

If no subsidised fee information is displayed, or you are not eligible to pay the subsidised fee, the full fee would be applicable.

Additional costs

Most costs are included in your course fees. However, there may be some additional items such as textbooks, personal protective equipment, uniforms, or industry equipment, you may need to get to enhance your learning experience or have a safety requirement. Find out more

Payment options, loans and instalments

Easy payment options available! At North Coast TAFE you can choose from a range of easy, flexible payment options to help make completing your dream course a reality.

  • Pay by instalments

    For many courses, you can choose to pay you course by instalment.

    Short courses (from 6 days to up to 10 weeks): 25% deposit required before starting the course with the remaining 75% due half way through.

    Most other courses: 25% deposit plus monthly payments due the last business day before the 15th of each month. The number of instalments available, up to a maximum of 12 (3 for concession fees), are calculated on the maximum duration of the course with final payment due 4 weeks prior to the end of the course.
