Are you interested in science and investigation? If you have not previously undertaken study in science, or would like to refresh your skills and science knowledge, this course is designed for you. Our Certificate III Laboratory Skills qualification will start growing your career as a laboratory assistant. You will learn skills in maintaining a laboratory, sampling techniques and testing, as well as how to prepare and perform basic science investigations in areas of biology and chemical analysis.
Laboratory assistants can work in testing, educational and research laboratories. This qualification could lead to gaining employment in a diverse range of scientific laboratories in areas including:

  • testing of food,soil/gravel, water and pathology samples
  • preparingmaterials for science classes at schools and universities
  • research carriedout at university and other facilities.

This qualification issuitable for an Australian traineeship pathway.
