Are you an apprentice in the automotive industry looking for the formal learning experience to complement your practical work based skills and experience? Our Certificate III Automotive qualifications are for you.In the Certificate III Motor Cycle Mechanical Technology qualification you will learn how to work on all types and capacities of motor cycles.This qualification is suitable for an Australian apprenticeship pathway. Work PlacementAll students enrolled in this course must be apprenticed in the industry. Assessment and completion of the course requires access to a fully equipped workplace, under supervision. All our NC TAFE Automotive courses are classroom and blended delivery modes, including discussions, working in groups, and workplace log books. Students work with real automotive vehicles and equipment in simulated environments on campus.

Assessment requires access to a fully equipped workplace under supervision.As automotives is a very technical and sophisticated industry, students need a high level of literacy and numeracy, including computer skills, to successfully undertake this qualification.Literacy and NumeracyNorth Coast TAFE wants you to know that while this qualification has no formal entry requirements, we do want you to succeed, so we are providing information about the skills and knowledge that would help you complete this qualification. You do need to have, or be able to attain, a level of literacy and numeracy that will help you complete your course and ultimately to work in your chosen field. Students who complete this qualification level will have developed a range of technical and communication skills that will enable them to complete mostly routine tasks and interpret and act on information available to them. They will provide solutions to predictable and sometimes unpredictable problems and in a work setting may take some responsibility for the work of others.North Coast TAFE can provide support for reading, writing, maths and English Language. Completion of Certificate III in any automotive qualification will enable students to be licenced by the NSW Office of Fair Trading.

A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.
