Do you love the natural environment and have a desire to protect it? Do you like working in a team? Our Certificate III in Natural Area Restoration could be the perfect course for you. This course is the industry standard for entry into the natural resource and management industry. You will develop skills in a range of areas including soils, plant identification and weed control. You will also gain an understanding of the management of vegetation in various contexts. After completing this course, you could find yourself working as a bush regenerator, land rehabilitation worker, revegetation worker or park ranger. Studying the Certificate III in Natural Area Restoration with North Coast TAFE means you will be learning from professionals with vast industry experience and strong connections with local industry. Our staff work closely with the Australian Association of Bush Regenerators to ensure our course always reflects the current needs of the industry. Access to rainforest remnants on-campus and local areas of bushland are utilised for class excursions during the course. You do need to have, or be able to attain, a level of literacy and numeracy that will help you complete your course and ultimately to work in your chosen field. Students who complete this qualification level will have developed a range of technical and communication skills that will enable them to complete mostly routine tasks and interpret and act on information available to them. A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.
