Are you working within the horticulture industry and looking to finesse your skills, or learn more about growing food crops?

The Certificate III in Production Horticulture is designed with industry consultation and is suited to people in the production horticulture industry or to those seeking employment who want to develop trade skills and knowledge to become operators within the industry.

You will learn about safe work practices, as well as selected skills areas such as horticultural cropping, biosecurity, chemicals use, irrigation and drainage, hydroponics, machinery operations and maintenance and pest control.

Learning is campus and/or work-based and is assessed through practical and written exercises. It is recommended that students have existing horticultural experience and/or employment. Due to the nature of the industry, physical fitness is required.

This qualification is suitable for an Australian traineeship pathway.
