Are you interested in working in the aged care sector? If so, then the Certificate IV in Ageing Support can help you achieve your career goals. This qualification, which has been designed by industry professionals, is suitable if you already work in or have studied in the aged care sector. You will learn about working in residential facilities or homes within defined organisation guidelines and service plans. This course covers a range of core unit competencies including facilitating the interests and rights of clients, facilitating the empowerment of older people, implementing falls prevention strategies, coordinating services for older people, providing loss and grief support, supporting relationships with carers and families and delivering care services using a palliative approach. Successful completion of the Cert IV in Ageing Support can lead to a range of potential career opportunities including Care Team Leader, High Performing Personal Care Assistant, Program Coordinator and Care Supervisor.
