Are you intrigued by the impact nutrition and diet can have on our health? Are you looking to enter the growing health industry? Our Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition) may be the perfect course for you. This course will set you on the path to becoming an allied health assistant in the nutrition and dietetics contexts.

Working as an allied health assistant in this area, you will work alongside professional nutritionists and other health professionals to support the delivery of a range of client-focused services. This may include monitoring individualised plans, assisting with meal planning and evaluation, and supporting the implementation of therapeutic diets.

As a component of the course, you will undertake 120 hours of work placement. This will give you valuable experience in the practical aspects of an allied health assistant's role.

Studying this course through North Coast TAFE will also give you access to the state-of-the-art Shared Health Research and Education Campus (SHREC) in Port Macquarie. SHREC gives you the opportunity to learn in a supportive environment alongside student doctors and other allied health professionals studying with the University of NSW and the University of Newcastle. This modern facility also accommodates simulated, practical and theoretical learning.
