Further your career in construction with the Certificate IV in Civil Construction Operations.
This nationally recognised qualification will enable you to work in the civil construction field, performing specialist tasks.
Specifically, our expert teachers will show you how to:
- Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs to meet legislative requirements
- Implement and monitor environmental policies
- Apply a quality management system on site
- Apply risk management processes
Plus, you can study elective units in project management including contracts, tenders, application and test procedures and supervision of civil works contractors.
On completion of this course, you will be able to apply site work instructions and practices to ensure quantity and quality of output and contribute to the development of technical solutions.
This qualification offers flexible delivery options and allows for Australian Traineeships.
Please note: All elective units selected from outside this qualification must reflect current occupational and learning outcomes of this AQF qualification level. There are both licensed and non-licensed units of competency relating to high risk work in the RII Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package. To be appointed under any statutory requirements in related roles, units of competency should be selected to meet the state/territory licensing requirements. There are no prerequisites to imported units listed in this qualification. Where a unit is imported as an elective care must be taken to ensure that all prerequisites specified are complied with.

Civil construction worker
A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.
