This course will equip you with a range of skills that will allow you to effectively work with and support other people in an independent role. By studying this course through North Coast TAFE, you will be able to partake in simulations of work-placement settings; giving you a practical insight into real work experiences and skills.

You will gain skills in responding to client needs, following safe work practices, undertaking person-centred care and communicating in a community services environment, as well as a variety of other valuable skills.

Additionally, the assessments for this course are linked to workplace roles; ensuring that the skills you have learnt can be applied in the workplace. If a student successfully gains employment in the industry during the course, he/she may be supported by flexible, individual learning support.
