Are you looking to gain experience or on the job training in the mental health industry? Our Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work could be for you. This course will suit those who are looking to develop specialist skills to work with clients who are facing  mental health challenges, or those who have some work or volunteer experience in community services or health and are looking to branch out into mental health work.

During this course you will learn various skills that you will be able to apply while working in the mental health industry, these include; working with diverse people, promoting self advocacy and undertaking peer work practices.

Our course will examine the link between mental health and alcohol and other drugs, as well as explore mental health in the community and in the work place. A focus on working with families impacted by mental illness is also covered. To allow students to develop practical skills, a structured workplace learning component has been incorporated.
