Are you a positive, friendly, independent and  responsible person who has a genuine affinity with children? If so, our Certificate IV in School Age Education and Care will qualify you to work as an educator working with school age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs.

Our course will allow you to conduct vacation care programs, as well as before and after school care activities for children of school age. In this role you may may work under direct supervision, as part of a team or autonomously.

The course is available as a traineeship for eligible, employed applicants. This funding is subsidised by the NSW Government.


Work Placement
This course will require you to complete a total of 120 hours of practical work placement. These hours will be on a volunteer basis, unless you are already employed as an outside school hours care worker, in which case you are more than welcome to use your current workplace and hours to meet the 120 hour requirement.
