About the course

Course Number: 10212NAT-01V01

Our course is customised to the school sector to train year 10 students in literacy tutoring strategies.
Trained tutors can then be matched with younger students to support literacy for year 7-12 curriculum requirements.

Initial training is a face to face workshop followed by ongoing learning in a school setting.
Our course is recognised by tertiary institutions such as UNE for a pathway into a Bachelor of Education.

This course has inspired students who have benefitted from receiving peer tutoring to - subsequently - train as tutors themselves.

North Coast TAFE offers a wide choice of courses, some that attract government subsidies and some that do not. The fees payable will vary, depending on your personal circumstances, your study history and the course you choose.

Calculate fees

Your government subsidised fee, and your eligibility for concessions, exemptions and scholarships, are all calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.

The 2017 subsidised fees indicated on this page are indicative only and based on 2016 fees. The state government may make some small changes to fees and subsidies for 2017 enrolments and we will update our site if and when that happens.
