Do you like getting to the bottom line? Are you great with numbers? Are you good at solving puzzles? Our Diploma of Accounting is the course you need if you want to learn to prepare taxation returns or gain a professional accounting role in the financial services sector. It can also be used to provide a pathway into most university accounting courses or establish a career pathway into other business spheres, such as management, human resource management or marketing.You will learn to provide financial and business performance information, prepare financial statements and analyse and present research information. You will also learn to prepare for an accounting job by planning, coordinating and evaluating your own work using tools such as complex spreadsheets. In addition, you will gain sufficient knowledge to provide accounting guidance to others, under supervision. Licensing/Regulatory Information Work functions in the occupational areas where this qualification may be used are subject to regulatory requirements. Refer to the FNS Implementation Guide Companion Volume or the relevant regulator for specific guidance on requirements.This qualification includes units that comprise an approved Tax Practitioner Board (TPB) course in Australian taxation law and commercial law. Persons seeking registration with the TPB should check current registration requirements with the Board.

A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.
