About the course

Course Number: SHB50115-01V01 (C3 GRADS)

This Diploma of Beauty Therapy is for students who have completed the Certificate III in Beauty Services.

Are you a qualified beauty therapist who wants to expand your skills and deepen your knowledge of the beauty salon industry? Our Diploma Beauty Services course is where you will acquire competencies in advanced beauty therapy treatments, including aesthetic aromatherapy, use of essential oils, epilation and make-up for photography.  You may choose from electives in the specialist beauty workplace training and assessment or small business management areas. You will continue to learn about beauty salon operation, communication, ethics and codes of professional behaviour. You must complete all core units plus elective units to receive the qualification.

People considering enrolment in beauty courses need to be aware that skills development will require students to practise on each other and that industry dress codes will apply. This will necessarily involve touch but will always be practised and applied in accordance with industry codes of practice and ethics.

Work Placement
All students will have the opportunity to work on real clients in our well equipped simulated salons, but work placement highly recommended.
