You do need to have, or be able to attain, a level of literacy and numeracy that will help you complete your course and ultimately to work in your chosen field. Students who complete this level of qualification will have the skills and knowledge necessary to analyse information and provide solutions to sometimes complex problems in a skilled or paraprofessional work environment. Civil Engineering Technician
A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.

Note: Some short, licensing or compliance courses, eg Food Safety for Supervisors or First Aid are not granted RPL as demonstrated competency is required by regulatory authorities.
