Do you want to advance your career in hospitality? The Diploma of Hospitality is nationally recognised and will teach you a large range of industry processes.
The course covers managing finances, gaming activities, on-site event operations, food production, staff management, marketing initiatives and managerial skills for coordinating hospitality operations.
This course gives you the chance to apply for Vet Fee Help, Smart and Skilled and Traineeships.
The Diploma of Hospitality is your gateway to gaining a role where you make business decisions, work independently and have responsibility for others. Potential job roles include Restaurant Manager, Function Manager, Sous Chef and Catering Operations Manager.

It is strongly recommended that individuals undertake lower level qualifications, and/or gain industry experience prior to entering SIT50313 Diploma of Hospitality. However this is not mandatory. North Coast TAFE wants you to know that while this qualification has no formal entry requirements, we do want you to succeed, so we are providing information about the skills and knowledge that would help you complete this qualification. You do need to have, or be able to attain, a level of literacy and numeracy that will help you complete your course and ultimately to work in your chosen field. Students who complete this level of qualification will have the skills and knowledge necessary to analyse information and provide solutions to sometimes complex problems in a skilled or paraprofessional work environment. They will have personal responsibility and autonomy in performing complex technical operations and have acquired the communication skills necessary to transfer their skills and knowledge to others.North Coast TAFE can provide support for reading, writing, maths and English Language. After achieving SIT50313 Diploma of Hospitality, individuals could progress to
SIT60313 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality or higher education qualifications in
Possible job titles:
-Banquet or function manager
-Chef de cuisine
-Front office manager
-Unit manager (catering operations).
A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.

Note: Some short, licensing or compliance courses, eg Food Safety for Supervisors or First Aid are not granted RPL as demonstrated competency is required by regulatory authorities.

On-Campus Learning - Study at our place for all or some of your course and access the on-campus TAFE experience.
