This qualification is for training developers and instructional designerswho are responsible for analysing training needs and designing trainingsolutions and products to meet workplace capability requirements, andevaluating the effectiveness of training programs. This may involveproviding guidance and advice to trainers and assessors, promotinginnovative practices, e.g. e-learning, and in researching andincorporating best practice in training and assessment into trainingprograms and products. There are no entry requirements for this qualification.However the Training Package lists the following preferred pathways. Preferredpathways for candidates considering this qualification include:- After achieving the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment andvocational experience in training and assessment roles within an RTO orsimilar organisation where the focus has been on competency based training,- after achieving another relevant qualification and vocational experience intraining and assessment roles within an RTO or similar organisation where thefocus has been on competency based training and assessment,- after demonstrating extensive vocational experience in training and assessmentroles within an RTO or similar organisation where the focus has been oncompetency based training and assessment.
Those completing this qualification could consider higher qualifications in thisTraining Package, the Training Package area of their vocational competence, orin the higher education sector.
Instructional designers, training needs analysts and registered trainingorganisation positions.
A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.
