Would you like to apply for trades entry the Australian Defence Force (ADF), but lack a Year 10 level Science qualification? TAFE NSW's Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation Science will provide you with the science skills required for your trades entry application and will be of ongoing benefit to your career. There are no formal educational requirements for this course; however, literacy and numeracy skills will be assessed prior to entry to the course.
Please note: To satisfy the academic requirements for general entry into the ADF, you must also hold a Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation for both Maths and English (or Year 10 certificate equivalent).

This short course contains the Science units of competency required for general entry to the Australian Defence Forces (ADF).
Note: general entry into the ADF requires English and Math units; trades entry requires English, Math and Science units.
A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.
