This course will provide you with the skills, knowledge and ability needed to
undertake interior decoration residential styling projects, including
researching and recommending furniture and accessories, sourcing and
specifying decoration products, and generating design solutions using
Those persons wishing to gain entry into the Statement of Attainment in Interior
Decoration Residential Styling should have relevant skills and knowledge to
indicate likely success at this level of study.
Examples of evidence to support this determination could include:
- successful completion of art and/or interior design or decoration related
subjects at secondary or post-secondary level
- previous experience of providing interior decoration advice in a retail
- presentation of a folio and/or an interview.
Entry to this course by persons without prior industry experience or formal
qualifications is permitted.
When you finish this course you may be eligible to do one of the following
- LMF40408 Certificate IV in Interior Decoration (19216);
- LMF50408 Diploma of Interior Decoration and Design (19217);
- LMF60208 Advanced Diploma of Interior Design (19218).

A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.
