This short course is created for students with limited or no Adobe InDesign skills and will walk through the basics of this design layout application, structured around industry skills and examples. Our experienced, industry current trainers, will guide you to develop skills and techniques for both print and digital delivery of final design artwork. You will learn to create and modify pages with text and images, learn the difference between placing and embedding files, missing text, packaging files, exporting into different file formats and much more. Each week a new set of tools will be introduced and linked to an industry based scenarios. A variety of design challenges will be undertaken as you develop your skills and knowledge to combine all the elements required to supply a file for print or digital delivery. As the weeks progress you will be building up your abilities to solve more complex design solutions using your new Adobe InDesign skills, taking on brochures for print, magazine layouts and stationary based design products.This short course is skills based, there are no assessments. Applicants are advised that moderate general computer skills are required. No specific Adobe InDesign skills are necessary as a prerequisite.

A TAFE NSW Certificate IV or Diploma could give you up 6 to 12 months advanced standing in a university degree and some Advanced Diplomas offer even more credit.
