This course is most suited to those with a reasonable knowledge of computers and a basic knowledge of Windows. Course notes will be supplied and you will receive TAFE PLUS Certificate of Participation after attending two three hour sessions. Course topics are: - What is PowerPoint? - The PowerPoint screen. - The different views in PowerPoint, slide view, outline view, slide sorter view, notes pages view, slide show view. - Creating text on slides. - Formatting text on slides - Saving a presentation. - Inserting ClipArt, Pictures, WordArt, Shapes - Picture Properties - the Picture toolbar - Fill and border properties - Changing backgrounds - Background fills - Applying a design theme - Flipping and rotating objects - Slide Transitions - Animations. - Adding sound and movie clips - Methods of showing a slide show. Manual timings, automatic timings, continuous loop. - The Master Slide - Slide Footers - Rearranging, copying, deleting and hiding slides. - Notes and audience handouts. - Inserting graphs. - Inserting Excel spreadsheets. - Tips on running a slide show including set up with a data projector.
