TAFE NSW welcomes your comments, posts, photos, videos and links. If you have questions, we’ll find the answer for you.

We ask that you respect fellow colleagues and abide by these basic rules:
• use appropriate language
• be respectful and supportive of your peers by only providing constructive criticism
• do not send any message or post information that is harassing, defamatory, threatening, abusive, illegal or obscene
• do no post content that is spam or contains links to irrelevant or third party websites
• do not violate copyright or other forms of licences and consents
• take reasonable precautions to prevent others from using your account(s).

TAFE NSW adheres to each social media’s channel’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, Privacy Statements/Policies, and Guidelines and asks the community to do the same.

  • the material and/or information does not infringe any legislation or regulations of the Commonwealth of Australia and the State of New South Wales including, but not limited to, the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and the Fair Trading Act 1987 (NSW) and equivalent state and territory legislation and any other parliament competent to legislate in relation to the social media site or any law in any country where the material and/or information is or will be available electronically to users of the social media site.

2. Licence to use intellectual property
By uploading any material which is intellectual property including, but not limited to, information, ideas, concepts, know-how, techniques, copyrighted works, trade marks and service marks (the “intellectual property”) on to the social media site, you are granting TAFE NSW a perpetual, non-exclusive and payment-free licence throughout the world to:

  • reproduce, use and exploit the intellectual property, as part of the Website/Social media site, to the full extent permitted by intellectual property law in any jurisdiction in which the Website/Social Media site is available to users; and

  • allow TAFE NSW to sub-licence others the same rights granted to TAFE NSW in (a) above.

6. Indemnity
You will at all times indemnify and keep indemnified TAFE NSW and its respective officers, employees and agents (in this paragraph referred to as “those indemnified”) from and against any loss (including reasonable legal costs and expenses) or liability incurred by any of those indemnified arising from any claim, demand, suit, action or proceeding by any person against any of those indemnified where such loss or liability arose out of, in connection with or in respect of any breach of this Agreement by you; and publication of or distribution of the material and/or information supplied by you.
