TAFE NSW is a provider of the Smart, Skilled and Hired Youth Employment Program for the North Coast region. We support young people who are looking for work and those who are looking to increase their hours. By helping you gain industry specific skills, by reducing your barriers to employment, (such as access to transport or job specific clothing/equipment) or by helping you gain workplace experience, we provide the support you need to secure the right job for you. ARE YOU ELIGIBLE? If you’re aged between 15 and 24 contact us to see if you’re eligible. HOW YOU BENEFIT Our dedicated employment co-ordinator will work with you to develop an individualised plan to help you reach your employment goals. Your plan may include some of the following: - Training to fill skills gaps - Work placement - Access to transport - Assistance with getting personal protective equipment or a work ticket.   • CERTIFICATE 3 IN HEALTH SERVICES ASSISTANT HLT33115-03V02 (AIN AC) Have you always loved caring for others? Start a truly rewarding career with a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in nursing work in acute care). This course will equip you with knowledge about allied health administration, medical terminology and basic business skills. You will learn how to work with, and facilitate the empowerment of, people with acute conditions, people with disabilities, people with mental health issues, people from diverse backgrounds and people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. You will also learn how to respond effectively to behaviours of concern, and how to provide first aid and basic emergency life support. Upon successful completion of the Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in nursing work in acute care), you will be qualified to work as a Nursing Assistant, Nursing Support Worker, Wardperson or a Patient Care Attendant. You'll be able to work in Aged Care Facilities, Hospitals, Clinics, Private Medical Practices, and Home and Community Care Services.
