#Ballina local and Certificate II in Animal Studies graduate, Lindsey Johnston, was recently awarded for her outstanding results and approach to her studies at the Lismore TAFE Awards of Excellence.
“When I was a little girl, I think it was in first grade, we had to do writing exercise about what we would like to be when we grow up, I said a vet – I have always wanted to be a vet and I love that I can work towards that at TAFE”
“Last year I enrolled in the Certificate II in Animal Studies at TAFE NSW Lismore and I have loved every minute of it. It has been absolutely amazing and honestly the best schooling experience of my life"
Well done Lindsey, you are well on your way to fulfilling your dreams and we have no doubt you will make a fabulously caring vet someday.
We are so proud of Reid Wilkie who has recovered from a serious downhill mountain biking accident and landed his dream career at Kyogle Hospital after completing a Diploma of Enrolled Nursing at TAFE NSW Ballina.
“Getting back into study, writing assessments and managing the workload was a bit of a shock but we had an amazing class – really supportive group of students, I was so lucky to have such a great group of friends to study with"
Reid recommends making the time now to pursue your ambitions, to explore the study and finance options and suggests ‘you don’t have to wait for an injury to make you chase your dreams’.
Well done Reid!
