The final performance for the Music YES Program students from Maclean High School and South Grafton High School.
Our “My Career Path” YES Program students went on an excursion today to BIG W and Target at Grafton Shoppingworld to find out exactly what local employers are looking for in new employees.
A big thank you to Lisa (Target) and Brian (Big W) for showing us around the stores, explaining the different roles and departments at their respective stores and giving us insight into what they expect from their employees.
🎵 Music YES Program students from Maclean High School and South Grafton High School have been jamming in the studio and working in the computer labs (with their new headphones!).
Stay tuned 🥁 for the final reveal of what they’ve been working on....!
The Earth Preschool 🌏 YES Program students from Grafton High School and South Grafton High School visited the Grafton Regional Art Gallery this week and gained a greater appreciation of art, in particular drawing.
Naomi from the Grafton Regional Gallery was fantastic and gave a knowledgeable insight into the JADA 2018 showcase and encouraged students to take note of particular details within the artworks.
The students were able to view the whole gallery at their own pace before then participating in an art experience using pastels and paper.
“It was amazing to see their creativity and the connections they made with some older members of the community as they drew - they just loved it!” - Cate Young, TAFE NSW Early Childhood teacher.
Stay tuned for images of the students final paintings which are inspired by “Patterns in Nature” 🍃 🍁
