Taeko Iizuka from Doma Café Federal was International Student of the year and studied a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus (CHEC). She gave thanks to her teacher Ian Holdaway and spoke so highly of the skills she has gained to get her job. She was an amazing student with outstanding attention to detail in her patisserie classes.
Steven Green was ATSI Student of the year. Steven has just completed his commercial cookery apprenticeship at Toast Expresso Grafton and studied at our Grafton Campus. Steven has had some great opportunities provided to him by his employer Mark Hackett including an internship at Cumulus Restaurant in Melbourne. He has been a Worldskills competitor and thanked TAFENSW and his teacher at Grafton, Bernadette Ryan, who is part of the teaching section managed by Phil Caldicott at Coffs.
A wonderful Harmony Day was had at our Coffs Harbour campus by both students and staff alike. With a great acknowledgement to country from Dennis Taylor, some musical brilliance from some of our students, activities and crowd participation, and catering in the form of pizza.
It was a festive day with lots of colour, fun, and unity. #harmonyday
The Coffs Harbour campus business section is offering an Excel 'Amateur to Ace' course to be held part-time in the evenings from 1st May. This is a great opportunity to upgrade your Excel skills.
