Recently our Diploma of Community Services students hosted a fantastic event at Southern Cross University as part of their Community Development Unit of study. The event encouraged TAFE and University students to write on wellbeing inspired message cards, it also included some yummy food giveaways, the planting of a wellness tree, and a performance by the Healing Voices choir. The focus for the activity was on social justice issues and also a gratitude gesture to demonstrate our appreciation to Southern Cross University for welcoming and supporting our students and staff who were relocated to the uni as a result of the flood.
Congratulations Councillors and well done to our very talented Advanced Diploma of Design Students.
Today was R U OK? Day. Staff and students at Lismore Campus enjoyed some tasty treats, contributed to our "Wellness Tree" and learnt a little more about this national day of action.
It's a reminder to everyone to take the time to ask the question - R U Ok? and start a conversation when someone you know is struggling.
These three simple words could have the ability to turn someone’s life around.
