North Coast TAFE offers fee-free scholarships for youth

Young students in northern NSW are being encouraged to apply for fee-free training courses with North Coast TAFE through an initiative for fee-free scholarships.

The statewide program is providing 50,000 scholarships across NSW in the 2015/16 financial year for eligible students aged between 15 and 30 – with the aim of training young people into the skills and qualifications they can use to find a job.

Qualifications available through the scholarships cover Certificate I – Certificate IV levels and include Apprenticeships and Traineeships.

Institute Director Elizabeth McGregor said that the fee-free scholarships are a great opportunity for young people in the region to build their skills for the future. “We are thrilled to be able to offer these fee-free places throughout the north coast. Our purpose at North Coast TAFE is to support people and communities to achieve prosperity through learning – be it personal or financial”.

“If you’re aged between 15 and 30, give us a call on our 1300 number to talk about your eligibility. You can also find details on our website or via our Facebook page”said Ms McGregor.
